WArm up: groove at c for spark the flame. Start super slow making sure that your left hand is hitting with enough force to get a good clean bounce off the snare. 

Spark the flame: 

Groove at c2 looking much better. Now start increasing the tempo a little. 

D start playing out the phrases for the drum solo. Count the bars carefully; accent the ensemble figures .  When this is comfortable play a simple set up on beat 4 going into each ensemble figure.
